My boyfriend is in school and he always studies at night after my daughter and I have gone to sleep.  This is fine with me except for that he never goes to bed.  Sometimes he will go to bed at 4 in the morning and then wants to sleep until it is time for class, or he just never goes to sleep, and will do this for 3 or 4 days in a row.  It drives me crazy.  He says that he has a problem with motivation, and that it takes him till late at night to get motivated and then once he does, he doesn't want to stop.  I think its very unhealthy and irritating.  Its irritating because by the end of the week, he is very moody and irretable, and when I end up having things to do in the morning in which I can't bring our daughter (I have a job that I do from home) he is moody and says things like "Oh well now I guess I won't sleep before class", or "Oh now I will have to pull an all nighter again"  I give him my schedule several days to a week in advance, so its not like I am dropping it on him, and its rude and I don't like the guilt trip.  Itr implies that my stuff is not as important as his, and the reality is, my working is helping keep him in school.

So, here's the fight:

This morning I woke up at 6:00 am and he was still awake.  I needed to work in a half an hour, and I was going to be working until 10:00 am, my daughter usually sleeps until then, but if she were to wake up early, he would need to be the one to get up with her.  I told him he needed to go to sleep, so that he could at least get a little bit of sleep, but he wanted to eat something and watch a show 1st, and I told him that was ridiculous and that if he is woken up by our daughter he was not going to be able to function, and that he needed to just go to sleep.  This was the 3rd night in a row that he had done this and he is getting harder and harder to deal with. Eventually, after the argument turned into a fight, he went to bed.

Who's right?

I can't fall asleep without the television, but my husband can't sleep with it on, its usually not a problem because I go to bed before him and put on the sleep timer, but the other night he came to bed with me and he said that since he ususally doesn't come to bed with me, I should leave it off. I agreed and we went to bed, an hour later, he is snoozing away and I am staring at the ceiling, so I turned on the TV, and he immediatly woke up, he told me I should turn it off or get up and go upstairs and watch TV till I fall asleep, I said that I agreed before and now he should, well we faught for awhile and needless to say, I went upstairs. Now I feel like I always compromise and he never does, who's right?

So this is what happened, this morning I had another useless fight with my husband, you know... same old issues, same old fight. The never ending, never answered question?

Who's Right?

Of course, we all know, that in the end, it doesn't really matter, but if your anything like me, that doesn't help.  I want to be right, and I want someone to tell me that I am right, or wrong, if I am wrong (but I doubt that, as any good arguer will tell you, I AM NEVER WRONG!)

So, this is the deal.  This is a community where you can post the latest argument with all (or without) all of the gory details, and all of your LJ friends will tell you who is wrong.  This will be done in the form of a poll (if you don't have a paid account, this might not be an option, so you can either use another program such as FrontPage, or create your own). At the end of a week, if your wrong, we might suggest that apologize. If your right, you will have the satisfaction of knowing, that yet again, you were right!

Good luck, and post away!
